Location: Kampala, Uganda
Industry: Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) / Fast Food
Preferred Candidates: Kolkata / West Bengal, India
We are launching a new Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand in Kampala, Uganda and are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef / Fast Food Specialist to join our startup team.
The selected candidate will play an important role in setting up our kitchen operations, standardizing recipes and ensuring consistent food quality across our outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and standardize recipes suitable for QSR operations
• Specialize in fast-food items, particularly fried chicken, rolls/wraps, fries and related products
• Develop SOPs for food preparation, portion control and kitchen operations
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation
• Train and supervise kitchen staff
• Manage food preparation, storage, hygiene and food-safety standards
• Help control food cost, wastage and inventory
• Support the setup and operation of our central kitchen and QSR outlets
Candidate Profile:
• Proven experience working in the fast-food / QSR industry
• Experience with established QSR, fried-chicken, rolls/wraps or similar restaurant brands will be highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food hygiene
• Ability to standardize recipes for multi-outlet operations
• Experience training and managing kitchen teams
• Willing to relocate to Kampala, Uganda
• Candidates from Kolkata / West Bengal are preferred
