Role Description The Corporate Communications Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kigali. This role is responsible for planning and executing corporate communication strategies that support the organization’s brand, mission, and technical services. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and distributing press releases, preparing corporate announcements, and managing internal and external communication channels. The Corporate Communications Officer will develop key messages, coordinate with leadership and technical teams to translate complex concepts into clear language, and ensure consistent branding across presentations, reports, and digital platforms. The role also involves monitoring media coverage, maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders, and supporting crisis and reputation management efforts.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Corporate Communications and Strategic Communications skills, with the ability to align messaging with business objectives.
• Candidates should possess effective Internal & External Communications skills, including stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Candidates should possess experience drafting and managing Press Releases and other media-facing materials.
• Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal Communication skills, with strong attention to detail and clarity.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field are beneficial.
• Experience in technology, cybersecurity, or engineering-related organizations is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Kigali, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with common office and communication tools (e.g., word processing, presentation software, email and collaboration platforms).
